MEET SHANNON WIDLANSKY

BIO

Shannon Widlansky is a gender advocate who speaks to schools, parents, and health care providers regarding gender identity. She is trained as an obstetrician/gynecologist, and she began work in gender advocacy in 2014. She has completed two years of fellowship with FORGE, a national transgender anti-violence organization. She has spoken to health care providers about transgender health, educators about gender in school, and she has served as an advisor to school districts on Human Growth and Development curriculum. She has been a contributor and an advisor for Parents magazine, and the book, RETHINKING SEXISM, GENDER, AND SEXUALITY.
